Before you start to fill your hanging basket always balance it on a plant pot or reasonable sized tub for Mature dating.  This stops it moving all over the place whilst you are working.

Once the plant is out of the pot gently loosen the roots from the soil so they are not to compact.  Only loosen them a little at the very bottom.  This will allow them to establish better once replanted.

Packing in the plants

Place all the plants that you require in your basket the same way and as you go around make sure each plant roots are covered with compost and gently packed down.  All thats left to do now is to give your basket a good water and feed and then hang it up.

Removing Plant

Never pull the plant out of the pot as this could damage it.  Loosen the soil first by tapping round the sides and then when the plant is ready to be taken out turn the pot upside down holding the plant gently and pat the bottom of the pot.

When the basket has been filled with compost you are ready to start putting in your plants.  Make a big enough hole near to the edge of the basket and then gently place the plant into the hole
